Destiny 2: Xur Exotic Armor, Weapon, and Recommendations for June 21 (2024)

Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Another week has arrived in Destiny 2, giving way to the next chapter of Episode: Echoes, as players continue to help Failsafe investigate the changes that are happening to Nessus following the defeat of The Witness.

In terms of the near future, Bungie also announced that it has heard player feedback and is making changes to the Dungeon and Raid difficulty in Destiny 2 after The Final Shape launched. With the changes made to fireteam power as well as rotating surges, players have noticed that many of these high-end activities feel even more challenging than they were previously, with popular soloable dungeons quickly becoming tedious and feeling worse than before. In next week's update, the elemental surge modifier is being removed completely, with outgoing damage getting a slight buff to help these activities feel as they did prior to the expansion.

The weekend has also arrived, which means it's time to take a look at the brand-new inventory for the weekend merchant Xur, with a selection of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2 players. Where is Xur?

For those who may have missed it, Xur has taken up residence in the Bazaar of The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.

Since the Bazaar area is between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the little Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.

Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Exotic Perks:

• Vampire's Caress - Melee and finisher final blows instantly grant cure and provide restoration for a short duration.

A solid exotic for those who want an easy way to heal, though these in particular are very hard to recommend due to the stat distribution this week. For that reason, these are a pass.

Shards of Galanor - Hunter gauntlets

Exotic Perk:

• Sharp Edges - Throwing Knife final blows decrease the cooldown of your Super. Hits and final blows with Blade Barrage will return Super energy after the Super ends.

Synergizes extremely well with the Solar Blade Barrage and is a valuable asset for users who prefer that over Golden Gun.

Armamentarium - Titan chest armor

Exotic Perk:

• And Another Thing - Gain an additional grenade charge. Grenade final blows spawn an Orb of Power.

For players looking for recovery, Armamentarium has it in spades this week. Again, this isn't a super unique exotic, but it is certainly useful both with 2 grenade charges and another way to spawn orbs of power.
