How To Complete Hunter's Remembrance In Destiny 2 (2024)

Hunter's Remembrance is an Exotic quest in Destiny 2 Season of the Witch that will allow Guardians to earn the Exotic Bow Wish-Ender. The previous method introduced in the Forsaken expansion was removed upon the release of The Witch Queen. Wish-Ender is a fantastic Exotic Bow that sits in the Kinetic slot. This weapon has built-in Anti-Barrier capabilities and can over-penetrate multiple targets. Wish-Ender is a great weapon that any Guardian should have as an option for high-level activities.

The Hunter’s Remembrance quest can be started by speaking to Petra Venj in the Dreaming City in Destiny 2. You must own the Forsaken expansion to access Hunter’s Remembrance in Destiny 2. Petra Venj will task you to purify three Awoken mementos by hunting down three enemies. The quest may also be in The Tower under the Quest Archive Terminal. After speaking to Petra Venj, she will give Guardians a Memento in the Kinetic slot. This will turn into Wish-Ender and must be in the inventory when turning in the quest. If there is insufficient room, the Memento may be sent to the bank.

Where To Find Awoken Mementos In Destiny 2

All Locations & How To Get Them

Once you accept the quest from Petra Venj, you must enter The Shattered Throne dungeon to defeat three Taken enemies and purify their Awoken Mementos. It can be challenging to locate each enemy, but TriGs on YouTube created a fantastic video guide. None of the mini-bosses associated with each particular memento are hard to defeat, but it's best to be prepared and know what to expect before walking in. Below are all three necessary mementos and bosses.

Memento

Location

Boss

Memento #1

Venture past the first symbol and leap from the cliff onto the rooftop. Here, you can find the first relic. Pick up the relic and go back to the cliff. Then, jump to the opposite roof and interact with the nearby statue to deposit the Relic.

Two Taken Minotaurs.

Memento # 2

The next relic is found in an open room with very narrow walkways. Before reaching the relic, you need to ensure that you have slain all nearby enemies. Once this is done, pick up the relic and interact with the statue. Note that the next room will impose a slow debuff on players, massively hindering your movement speed.

Captain Eriviks, The Waking

Memento #3

The last Memento will be obtained and cleansed in the final boss room. You will need to defeat four Wizards during the fight and deposit the Petitioner's Burden buff on a platform. A Minotaur will immediately spawn in the right corner of the room and will drop a Relic. This foe can turn invisible if you do not defeat the target in time. Search for a statue that has an empty hand and deposit the Relic.

Ogre Captain Vorgeth.

In the Slowed room, you can jump and melee with the Relic to move slightly faster, avoiding enemies.

Purifying Mementos is far more straightforward than it may initially sound. The only way to purify a Memento in Destiny 2 is to slay the mini-boss enemy that spawns after you interact with the associated statue. For example, the second Memento will automatically be purified after you kill the Captain, Erivis, The Waking. With all three Mementos found and purified at the end of this questline, you only have two steps left before receiving your ultimate reward.

You can enter the final room once you have slain Vorgeth and purified the final Memento. This area contains a hulking statue dedicated to Sjur Eido that you must interact with. All you need to do is press the corresponding button to collect loot, and you will finally have the Wish-Ender Exotic Bow in your collection. This is a potent weapon that comes with impressive stats and two Exotic Perks: Queen’s Wrath and Broadhead.

With Destiny 2's Wish-Ender Exotic Bow in tote, the only task required is to go back to Petra Venj. Even though you have beaten all the necessary challenges to retrieve the Wish-Ender Bow, the quest is still not technically finished until you return to the initial quest-giver NPC. Petra Venj can be found in the Vestian Outpost in the same spot. With this bow firmly in your arsenal, you can take down Champions with extreme ease in Destiny 2.
