Oliver is not entirely sure how he wound up in a karaoke bar.

Well... scratch that. He knows. He knows extremely well how he wound up here. Barry's cute pout. There was no fighting his boyfriend's pout when Barry wanted something bad enough to break it out.

The Dominators had invaded their world some days earlier, starting with a small incursion and building up to a full scale attack. Centered on Central City, living up on it's name Oliver supposed, but it was still a global attack.

In defense of the planet, super humans and aliens alike across the planet had risen to the challenge. So Team Arrow had teamed up with Team Flash, the Super Friends of National City (Kara was such a nerd, no wonder Barry got along with her so well), and the time traveling Legends of Tomorrow currently captained by Sara Lance. But Barry and Wally's mad dash to tag as many Dominators as possible with tech that would forcibly remove them from the planet, they'd left invites to network with other metas world wide. Some would no doubt be contacting Team Flash soon out of curiosity, others watching and waiting to reach out later, and no doubt many ignoring the offer altogether.

Barry had the idea for some sort of Justice League. Not like the United States had in the 40s, but a world wide organization. Super heroes banding together to protect the planet in times of need. Oliver liked the idea. He suspected others would too. Certainly it seemed like the four teams present at today's impromptu karaoke party would be joining in. And no doubt Supergirl would bring her cousin into it too once things grew serious.

Once the planet was saved and they'd had an official commendation ceremony - pardons being handed out by the new President herself - Kara had decided it was time to party. Barry had agreed. Someone - maybe Caitlin, possibly Winn - had called for Karaoke and the overwhelming majority had been enthusiastic about this choice. Sara dragging Mick Rory along behind her and somehow managing to threaten any other who might have tried to beg off with the most cheerful of smiles on her face.

Not that she needed to threaten Oliver. Barry just batted those gorgeous eyes at Oliver and said, "come on, Ollie, it'll be fun." Oliver was, officially, a sucker for his boyfriend's pretty face.

The rest of his team would never let him live this down.

Thankfully he had not been dragged onto stage yet. He knew it was only a matter of time, but currently Alex Danvers was on stage with Felicity, singing Girls Just Wanna Have Fun which wasn't too bad. A little pitchy, but considering they were both a bit tipsy already... Oliver had to admit they were pretty good. Better than Caitlin's rendition of Summer Nights that almost had Barry hiding under the bar, anyway.

(At the sound of the music for Summer Nights starting, Barry had immediately hidden himself behind Oliver and Kara, who'd only just begun drinking some alien alcohol co*cktail that she'd said it was probably really only safe for Barry to try. But then Cisco's voice joined Caitlin's and Barry popped back up to peer suspiciously over Oliver's shoulder, pressed against Oliver's chest in a way that reminded Oliver he'd been hoping for a more private post-alien-invasion celebration with his boyfriend. Preferably back at home in his apartment at Star City. Once Barry was reasonably certain that Caitlin was not going to start everyone chanting his name - and Oliver was extremely curious to know why that was a concern - Barry had settled back onto his bar stool, looking only slightly twitchy until the song ended.)

"We should sing something," Kara declared. "All three of us. We're like... we're like... the Three Musketeers!" She grinned and then wavered dizzily on her stool. Oliver got the bartender's attention enough to indicate that Kara needed water for her next drink.

Barry, sipping a regular beer and thus entirely sober (since he'd turned down the alien alcohol - for this time), shrugged. "I mean... I guess? It depends on the song though, because much as I love show tunes no one is getting me to sing anything from Grease."

"What's wrong with Grease?" Kara asked, pouting.

"It is a long story," Barry muttered, blushing brightly.

Oliver resolved to ask later. Whatever made Barry blush that shade of almost-Flash-suit-red had to be pretty entertaining.

"Nothing's wrong with Grease, but it's already been done tonight," Oliver said, using his many years of experience comprehending drunk-logic while sober (or mostly-sober) to placate the more than tipsy Kryptonian.

She nodded with the air of someone who had just been granted great wisdom. "You're right. Gosh, you're so right." She brightened further, which Oliver had no idea how she managed it.

Couldn't be an alien thing, though, since Felicity could somehow pull that off too. Maybe it was a blonde girl thing...

"All For Love," Kara declared. "From The Three Musketeers. It's perfect. It's us. It's... it's... you two love each other and I love you both platonically," okay so how drunk was she actually if she could still say platonically? "And it's a trio-et."

"Trio-et?" Oliver echoed dubiously.

"Just roll with it," Barry advised. Then, thoughtfully, "it does have three parts. The original version was sung by Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, and Sting. I'm not sure it's in Kara's key, but..."

"Key, shmee, I can sing it!" Kara insisted.

On stage, Alex and Felicity had finished up and Winn was heading up there with Ray now. Neither of them looked to be entirely certain how this came about but James, Amaya, and Mick (of all people) were looking entirely too smug about it. The music for Dude Looks Like a Lady came on and Oliver couldn't help but snicker.

"I've no doubt you can," Barry was placating Kara. "I'm sure we'd sound great together, but..."

"Oh, are the three of you planning to sing soon?" Alex said, appearing as if out of nowhere to order a beer and glance approvingly at the water glass being put in front of her sister.

Kara stared at the water blankly for a moment, then shoved her empty co*cktail glass aside in favor of the water.

Winn and Ray were, unsurprisingly, getting very enthusiastic with their song selection. Oliver did not look back at the stage but he was willing to bet there was dancing involved now.

"I'd really rather not," Oliver said, glancing between Barry and Kara who'd immediately turned to give him near-identical sad puppy looks. "But I think I may not be getting a choice here."

Alex snorted. "Yeah, that's how it is, usually."

"We're gonna sing All For Love because we're the Three Musketeers," Kara told Alex.

"Kara picked the song," Barry added, looking far too amused by the whole situation. "It'll be fun."

Alex snickered. "I'll go add you three and your song choice to the sign up list, then." She was gone, with her beer, before Oliver could try to stop her.

"It is a little odd though that song was a love ballad about being true to your beloved when the Musketeers were... not really monogamous types?" Oliver frowned. "Wasn't D'Artagnan's lady love, Constance, married to someone else?"

"It was courtly love. Marriage were arranged, love was for... not marriage," Kara said. "I remember that from high school. Courtly love was very in for France at the time. For nobility. Mistresses and... Misters???" Kara frowned. "It was the way of things. Like how Lancelot got added for Guinevere to fall in love with for that era's iteration of the Arthurian tales."

"In the movie, Athos is pretty dedicated to Lady de Winter... or whoever she was when they were married before he, uh, found out the mark for execution on her," Barry said. "I never read the book, but Constance definitely isn't married in the movie. And the Queen and King actually love each other. Though I will give you that Porthos and Aramis are definitely not interested in a single romantic partner there. The wenching scene..."

Kara giggled. "As morning hues of sun-swept..."

"Fire," Barry offered, lips twitching in amusem*nt.

"Fire," Kara repeated, then continued with, "caress your... poisoned face."

Both Barry and Kara burst into giggles that had Oliver wondering if inebriation was something a person could pick up on second hand. He did, however, vaguely remember those were lines from the 90s version of The Three Musketeers, so at least he wasn't completely lost.

It's a few songs later - Sara dragged Mick on stage to sing Irving Berlin's Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better) after which Mick had messed up the lyrics enough (sometimes deliberately) that he conceded Sara won the song, Cisco sang Bobby Caldwell's song Open Your Eyes but with some gender flipping of the lyrics as he might have been singing to Hartley Rathaway (sometimes member of Team Flash who apparently enjoyed the attention from Cisco's serenade enough to kiss him afterwards), Kara was called away to sing We Are Family with her sister and Winn, followed up by Jax and Martin singing Lean on Me, then Curtis and Dig singing Queen and David Bowie's Under Pressure - it was finally time to face the music. Literally.

Oliver let himself be pulled along by his boyfriend onto the stage and - having consumed another beer at this point and feeling rather okay with the situation - the music for All For Love came on. They probably should have discussed more who was singing what part beforehand but they kind of slotted into place with Barry leading them.

(Barry) When it's love you give
(Oliver) I'll be a man of good faith
(Barry) Then in love you live
(Kara) I'll make a stand. I won't break
(All) I'll be the rock you can build on
(All) Be there when you're old
(All) To have and to hold

(Barry) When there's love inside
(Oliver) I swear I'll always be strong
(Barry) Then there's a reason why
(Kara) I'll prove to you we belong
(All) I'll be the wall that protects you (Yeah)
(All) From the wind and the rain
(All) From the hurt and the pain
(All) Yeah (Hey)

(All) Let's make it, all for one and all for love
(Barry) Let the one you hold be the one you want
(Oliver) The one you need
(All) 'Cause when it's all for one it's one for all
(Barry) When there's someone that should know
(Kara) Then just let your feelings show
(All) And make it all for one and all for love

The whole ballad went surprisingly well, Barry's arms slung around Oliver and Kara's shoulders (how he managed to direct them on singing which lines) the whole time. It was comfortable and fun and Oliver was more amenable to singing another one maybe, if Barry and Kara wanted to, when they were done.

"Ooooh, what's another trio-et we could do?" Kara asked the second Oliver admitted he'd enjoyed the experience.

"Well... let's think here," Barry said, grinning impishly. "Something by the Bee Gees maybe?"

"I love the Bee Gees," Kara squealed. "Never Say Never Again?"

Oliver was starting to regret saying anything at all.
